Card Knowledge

Purchase Cards (also called a Procurement Card, ProCard, P-Cards, Purchasing Cards or just pcard) are specialized MasterCard, Visa or American Express card systems that focus on the requirements of business-to-business commerce with the following features:

• Specialized credit/charge cards that are centrally billed to the organization
• Can be set with effective user-configurable transaction and financial controls to manage usage
• Cardholders granted authority to place orders directly with suppliers
• Cash disbursement to suppliers made through the banking system
• Reporting / system management software provided to customer by card-issuing bank to manage purchase, accounting and supplier information
