Demonstrates Commitment to Security and Protecting Cardholder Data
Chantilly, VA – July 19, 2006 – 3Delta SystemsSM (3DSI), a leader in developing credit card payment solutions, today announced that it has been verified as compliant with Visa’s Cardholder Information Security Program (CISP). This represents the third consecutive year 3DSI has achieved CISP compliance, as well as compliance with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard.
When customers offer their credit card at the point of sale, over the Internet, on the phone, or through the mail, they want assurance that their account information is safe. Using the PCI Data Security Standard as its framework, CISP provides policies and procedures recognized as being needed to protect against cardholder data compromise.
“3DSI has always considered security as being integral to its services and we are committed to being above the bar, not chasing it,” said Aaron Bills, Chief Operations Officer for 3Delta Systems. “Our company growth and remarkable retention rate has been driven by 3DSI’s focus on delivering sustaining value and durable solutions to its clients. Attaining annual PCI/CISP compliance is just part of our continued commitment to security and protecting the integrity of cardholder data.”
The PCI/CISP established a set of 12 industry-wide requirements and numerous sub-requirements and is directed at all businesses that store, process, or transmit cardholder information. Core mandates include:
- Building and maintaining a secure network
- Protecting card holder data
- Maintaining a vulnerability management program
- Implementing strong access and control measures
- Regularly monitoring and testing networks, and
- Maintaining an information security policy
